All grades will be having a number sense test this Friday.
Grade 6 are expected to know how to:
- read, represent, compare, round, and order whole numbers to 1 000 000.
- solve problems involving the addition
and subtraction of whole numbers, including multi step word
problems.
- use estimation when solving problems
involving the addition and subtraction of
whole numbers.
Grade 5 are expected to know how to:
- read, represent, compare, round, and order whole numbers to 100, 000.
- solve problems involving the addition and subtraction of whole numbers, including word
problems.
- demonstrate an understanding of place
value in whole numbers.
Grade 4 are expected to know how to:
- read, represent, compare, and order whole numbers to 10, 000.
- round four-digit whole numbers to the
nearest ten, hundred, and thousand.
- solve problems involving the addition and subtraction of whole numbers up to 4 digits, including word problems.
- demonstrate an understanding of place value in whole numbers.
Remind your child to bring home their math books this week to study and to get your help at home with concepts and skills they may be having trouble with.
